On behalf of the children and families supported by Uplift Family Services’ Hollygrove programs, thank you so much for supporting the 18th Annual CBT Charity Golf Classic at the beautiful Pelican Hill Golf Course in Newport Beach. This year’s event raised more than $36,000, surpassing all previous fundraising records!
Founder, CEO, and Uplift Family Services Board of Governors member Kelly Ireland, along with her incredible team at CB Technologies, have been generously hosting this golf tournament for the last 18 years, and have raised more than $386,000 for our programs at Uplift Family Services. While we are still in a pandemic, this year the team went above and beyond to make sure this popular event could still take place, ensuring everyone’s safety by providing boxed meals, as well as hand sanitizer and wipes throughout the venue.
This annual event is critical for providing funds for our Hollygrove programs such as Hollygrove Haven (formerly called Endless Summer), Camp Hollygrove, and Parent Institute. In addition, these funds also provide aid for our families who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic and have faced insurmountable challenges to meet their basic needs such as food, cleaning supplies, and even clothing for children as they go back to school. The families of Uplift Family Services have been among some of the hardest hit by the pandemic over the past 18 months, and the need is still great.
“It’s amazing to think this is our 18th year hosting this tournament to benefit Uplift Family Services. I’m more inspired by their work than ever and so honored to be supporting them,” said Kelly. “I want to say a huge thank you to all the golfers, sponsors, and to our internal team for making this the most successful tournament ever! Thirty-six thousand dollars raised to directly impact the families hit hardest in these challenging times. I’m so proud of everyone involved!”
“It is through the generous support and partnership of CBT that we are able to provide emergency relief items to the children and families we serve in our Hollygrove programs,” said Los Angeles Regional Executive Director Amy Sanchez. “All of the families fall well below the poverty threshold and struggle to make ends meet in non-pandemic times. COVID-19 has amplified that need. Thank you, CB Tech, for your 18 years of partnership in our campaign to do whatever it takes for families in need. Please know that your efforts and that of your friends and donors who participated in the golf tournament have helped stabilize a family facing a temporary financial crisis.”
If you have not yet had the chance, please consider making a donation to help those most affected by the pandemic. All donations will go towards the support of our families through our Hollygrove programs and our Whatever it Takes Fund, which provides for the urgent, specialized needs of children and families resulting from trauma.
As a token of our appreciation, our kids from the Hollygrove Haven program wanted to extend a BIG thank you to everyone who participated in making the event a resounding success!
Thank you again for supporting Uplift Family Services. We hope that you continue to stay safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing you at the 19th Annual CBT Charity Golf Classic!
