Multicultural Services
We offer culturally and linguistically responsive services to address the needs of our diverse communities, making outreach and treatment more effective.
We also acknowledge that there is oftentimes a fear of being labeled as mentally ill. Through education and our diverse team, we aim to support our clients and their families with culturally relevant services.
Some of our specialized programs include:
Asian Pacific Family Center (APFC), Rosemead: APFC provides programs in youth development, substance use and gang violence prevention, bicultural parenting education, family support, mental health counseling and treatment services. Other services include integrated physical health and mental health services, behavioral health outreach and education, mental health recovery and wellness peer support for adults. Services are provided in Cambodian, Cantonese, Chiu Chow, English, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and Taiwanese. Latino Youth Program, Santa Fe Springs: Specializing in suicide prevention, the Latino Youth Program offers bilingual mental health services for school-aged youth and their families. Our services promote mental health wellness through outreach and engagement, training, substance use prevention or cessation and supportive services to address the high-risk factors that can lead to suicide.
Hye-Wrap (Armenian Wraparound Services), Glendale: Hye-Wrap began in 1996 as a school-based program to address the mental health needs of the newly immigrated Armenian youth who were at risk of dropping out of school. It has grown to serve children, youth and their families and adults with counseling, case management and linkage to support services.
