The following message was sent to all Pacific Clinics employees on March 1, 2023, the one-year anniversary of the Pacific Clinics and Uplift Family Services merger, by CEO/President Kathy McCarthy.
This past year has been among the most significant in our agency’s over 150 years of service. Today, we celebrate our anniversary of uniting two leading behavioral health organizations: Pacific Clinics and Uplift Family Services.
For me, today is a time for reflection. Over the past year, we have demonstrated great collaborations, strong integrated teams and improved service outcomes for our clients. Likewise, we also experienced growing pains, as common with mergers and building aligned business operations and a new shared culture.
We have persisted even under challenging circumstances, such as the lingering pandemic; we consoled our friends and neighbors devastated by hate and mourned the loss of friends, and loved ones.
As we launch into our second year, I look forward to continuing to build our culture, share our new mission and vision, announce our strategic plan, integrate systems, uplift each other and continue to celebrate the many accomplishments we will achieve together. I hope we all continue striving to be our best, celebrating our achievements and facing hurdles with renewed commitment.
I am optimistic about our future and appreciate your commitment to the life-affirming services we deliver daily. Each of you collectively ensures that we meet the needs of our nearly 25,000 clients and their families.
Thank you again for your unwavering dedication to our work, each other and the people we have the privilege of serving. We are and will continue to be Better Together.
Here’s to each day being Better Together.
Happy anniversary!
Kathy McCarthy (she/her) | CEO/President
