"My child has learned so much while attending Pacific Clinics' Head Start program. Their program prepared him for kindergarten and taught him how to share his emotions. They also provided me guidance on healthy meal preparation ways to help my child to continue to learn at home."

Building Hope Together

You are Your Child’s First Teacher

Parent Engagement

Parent and caregiver engagement is important to help your child thrive by extending learning at home. Caregivers with children enrolled in Early Head Start and Head Start work with our educators to:

  • Create family action plans and review progress
  • Volunteer in the classroom
  • Attend family-focused workshops
  • Receive referrals for supportive services
Home-Based Education for Parents

Through our Home-Based program, home educators meet with expectant mothers and parents of children from birth to 3 years of age. We educate caregivers about child development and resources to help in their role as their child’s first teacher.

Socialization opportunities are available to foster parent-child interaction and connection with other families in the community.
