Support Services offer various programs to address social determinants of health, including housing and employment coaching and placement, among other critically needed services.
Mary Anne Chern is chief development officer where she oversees fundraising strategies that align with Pacific Clinics’ mission, vision and values. She brings more than 30 years of nonprofit health care resource development experience in California.
Over her career, Mary Anne has raised more than $500 million. Before joining Pacific Clinics, she served 24 years as senior vice president and foundation president at Adventist Health White Memorial, where she oversaw all fundraising, including cultivating relationships with board members and donors, campaigns, organizing fundraising events and supporting the grant proposal process.
Mary Anne was previously elected as international chair of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy for Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and currently serves on the International Ethics Committee for the association.
She holds designations as an Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive (ACFRE) and a Fellow of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP). In 2015, she was honored with the Si Seymour Award, the highest recognition awarded to health care fund development professionals, for her leadership and excellence in philanthropy.
Mary Anne has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Carolina and postgraduate studies in English at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
The recent wildfires have deeply tested our resilience as the devastating fires in Southern California continue to impact countless lives. Tragically, 40 of our employees and clients have lost their homes, and many more have been evacuated as the emergency unfolds. Our teams continue to assist clients and families during this time.
