Support Services offer various programs to address social determinants of health, including housing and employment coaching and placement, among other critically needed services.
The Capital Region encompasses six counties near California’s capital city. This region spans vast differences in geography, income levels, population density and ethnicities. The diversity of programs offered in this region reflects the wide range of need.
Most of the families we serve live in poverty. Programs in this region run the gamut from early prevention services to intensive care. The emphasis on prevention and intervention addresses children’s symptoms early, before they become lifelong problems that impede the ability to function as adults.
We typically address both mental health and basic needs, including food and clothing. The biggest behavioral health needs here include depression, anxiety, suicidality, substance use, school bullying, behavioral issues and parenting skills.
