The Central Region serves the communities of both Fresno and Tulare counties in Central California, the agricultural capital of the world. In this region there is a large population of migrant families, as well as people of Southeast Asian and Hispanic descent.
The biggest mental health and behavioral health needs in this area include recovery from trauma and abuse, stress-related disorders, substance use and other behavioral issues. Because this region has one of the highest poverty rates in the county, we typically address basic needs such as food and clothing as a foundation of behavioral and mental health support for children, adults and whole families.
