Often the needs of families are complex. Many of the children and families served by EMQ FamiliesFirst struggle not only with mental and behavioral health but also exposure to drugs and alcohol. In an effort to build awareness, staff in our Central Region office in Fresno are supporting National Substance Abuse Prevention Month.
“Our collective passion is anchored in a commitment to the health and wellness of those in our community who are hurting, who desperately need to feel the power of hope,” said Tabitha Baldwin, clinical associate director. “We do what we can to help youth and families thrive. In the spirit of this shared vision, we want to be actively engaged in ways that can bring awareness, share alternatives and help in the prevention of substance abuse.”
