Pacific Clinics’ Foster Care and Adoption Services (FCAS) program in the Capital Region partnered with a local area Dutch Bros coffee company and together raised more than $1,500, which will be applied to resource parent recruitment efforts in the Sacramento area.
The fundraising event, Bucks for Kids Day, is one of three annual fundraising events hosted by the coffee company. Our agency was chosen to be a local beneficiary after an FCAS team member dropped off a flyer at a local Dutch Bros location requesting donated items for a parent picnic. The flyer was passed on to the coffee chain’s corporate officers, who then nominated and chose our agency to be the recipient and partner of the annual donation drive on a local, store level at a Dutch Bros location near our Tech Center site in Sacramento.
During business hours on September 15, at the Kiefer Blvd. store location, one dollar of every drink purchased was allocated to the program.
“By passing information about the event on to friends and family, sports teams, clubs and social media platforms, we made an impact together as a team, which far exceeded all expectations I had and just goes to show what an impact a team effort can make when we support one another,” says Diane Partida, resource family recruiter, FCAS.
“Giving back through fundraisers, grants and donations is part of our DNA as a company,” according to Dutch Bros statements on their website.
“Thanks to everyone for spreading the word and getting your friends, family and colleagues to come out and support the FCAS program,” says Agnes Perez, clinical director, FCAS.
