Director of Development Darren DeMonsi recently spoke about Pacific Clinics’ important partnership with the Swenson Foundation at Petrinovich Pugh & Co LLP’s (PP&Co) 70th-anniversary celebration at the San Jose Museum of Art. A full-service certified public accounting and consulting firm, one of PP&Co’s major clients is Swenson Development & Construction, and funds raised at the anniversary celebration went to the Swenson Foundation. As the primary beneficiary of Swenson Foundation philanthropy, we were honored to step on stage and share a few stories of the Swenson’s generosity and involvement in helping the most vulnerable children, adults and families in the Bay Area community over the years.
Most recently, our new professional parent cottage on the Los Gatos campus was made possible through the significant efforts and generosity of the Swenson Foundation, among others. The Swenson Development Team worked alongside our Physical Plant Operations Team to renovate an existing single-family home to meet the urgent need for more professional parent homes in Santa Clara County.
In addition, their dedicated support of our annual backpack drive and holiday giving, as well as other on-campus fundraisers, have made a huge impact on helping those we serve.
Another special activity at the event was a color wall, courtesy of one of our talented Hope Center clients. The client created an oversized black line drawing, which attendees were encouraged to color in throughout the evening. Attendees were also encouraged to write one word that describes what community means to them within the whitespace. The completed artwork will be displayed behind the reception area at the new Morgan Hill campus.
