Hollygrove Programs

Our Hollygrove Programs include privately funded services are structured to enhance wellness in our Los Angeles community. We designed these programs to strengthen both children and their parents by enriching their knowledge, supporting skill development and building emotional bonds that last a lifetime. Our innovative services extend the reach of our publicly funded programs, seek to proactively address the needs of the family before problems take hold.

Hollygrove Haven

Hollygrove Haven therapeutic program for children ages 6 to 12. The Los Angeles-based program seeks to improve academic standing through social-emotional and requires parental involvement and education. Hollygrove Haven obtains baselines for reading, math and behavior by utilizing behavioral assessment tools and academic software. Children participate in groups that promote social-emotional learning, focusing on activities and games that support building self-esteem, communication and social and coping skills.

Camp Hollygrove

Camp Hollygrove is a week-long day camp for children and adolescents ages 6 to 17. It offers a wide range of engaging activities designed to challenge children to explore their strengths, find different ways to learn, understand the meaning of teamwork, define their values, and give back to the community. Both Hollygrove Haven and Camp Hollygrove target children who need specialized attention due to emotional and behavioral challenges that interfere with academic performance.

Parent Institute

Support and community for parents in Hollywood and South Los Angeles; the Parent Institute is a safe place for parents to learn and grow. The foundation of our program is utilizing the research-based Strengthening Families’ Five Protective Factors Framework. Parents gain knowledge, connect with a social network, and build capacity to strengthen their family and community. Most importantly, the program supports optimal child development and reduces the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. Parents gain knowledge and confidence in their own abilities through workshops and support groups.

Our Hollygrove Program is privately funded. This means that we rely on the incredible generosity of our donors to keep these life-changing programs running strong. We help more than 2,500 children and their family members in Hollywood and South Los Angeles each year. However, the need for services is still high.
